All members are Level I or Level II firefighters and have attained many specialized and advanced courses through the Pictou County Fire School and the Nova Scotia Firefighters School, located in Waverly, Nova Scotia.
The Abercrombie Fire Department is an active participant in a mutual aid
system throughout the county of Pictou. The department is also a member of
the Pictou County Firefighters Association.
