The following information contains the Rules/Guidelines for posting on the Millsberry Citizens Board and Chat Room:
1.) Don't ever post your real name or address on the posting board or in the chat room. It may seem harmless to some people but it could be very dangerous. We have Millsberry names for a reason and those are what we should be known by.
2) Do not post or ask for email addresses or IM names on the posting board or in the chat room. Again this may also seem harmless to some people but it could be very dangerous. There are lurkers watching the board and strangers can get your IP number through an email. Also virus's can be sent this way along with other potential problems. If you want to discuss something about Millsberry you need to use the posting board or the chat room.
3) Do not use multiple names. People like to get to know you and it's hard to know you if there are several you's. There are IP numbers that indicate who you are and these are visible to the board manager.
* An IP number is a set of numbers that is unique to a computer that the threaded board displays with each post.
4) Asking or advertising for passwords is strictly prohibited on the posting board and in the chat room. This will be cause for an immediate ban from the message board. Asking for passwords is a scam and should never be tolerated even if that person plays off to be nice. If someone gets your password, they could steal everything from you.
5) Asking or making others feel sorry for you (example: all my stuff was stolen or I am having a hard life or I am poor and etc.) for free or cheap items is scamming and will not be tolerated. Banning of the group can happen.
6) Any one that advertises or posts that he/she knows a hack or a cheat to Millsberry, or anyone that asks for, exchange and discuss cheats through the chat, board, or in a PM will be banned from the message board. This is not a cheat site.
7) Swearing, harassing and bashing is prohibited. Any posts on the board or in the chat room that contain any swearing, harassing and/or bashing will be deleted, and the offender may be blocked/banned if he or she continues the offensive behavior.
8) Please DO NOT ask how many Millsberry Bucks someone has. This can be very personal and out of line. It may be uncomfortable for other players.
9) Begging and pleading for certain players to lower their prices can and will be considered harassment. Harassment of any form can lead to one being banned.
10) Do not scroll in the chat room. Scrolling is sending repetitive messages and/or sending one word at a time instead of full sentences. This makes it hard for people to have conversations in the chat and is cause for being blocked from the chat.
11) You can talk about Millsberry in General. Please limit use of General for yard sales, auctions and wish lists. There are separate sections on the board for those categories. You can place your YARD SALE in the yard sale board so we don't spam up the other boards.
12) You can place your AUCTIONS here so we don't Spam up the other boards. Note what the item is that is being auctioned. Set a starting date and time and an ending date and time, indicating a.m. or p.m. for both (these must be posted at the beginning and can not be changed later) What the starting bid will be at and what time zone ...... if you are unsure please refer to the MCC website Time Zones. Please start with - auction is open and end it with -auction is closed. All auction bids must have at least a 50 MB or higher bid. Modifying these rules and/or adding rules to an auction is not allowed. NOTE: To anyone that places an auction up, I myself and the other Adm. of this board are not responsible for these auctions and their outcome.
*Do Not list an auction if you are not willing to sell the item. Do Not bid on an item you are not willing to buy.
NOTE::::: FALSE Bidding is prohibited!! Example of this is making a bid and then waiting for someone else to bid higher and deleting then your bid is a case of false bidding. Secretly using another name or a friend to make a higher bid so that another person will bid higher is also FALSE BIDDING and will be terms of being baned from the group. The person holding the auction may not place bids on behalf of another person, as this technique could used by someone to raise the price.
Any auction is done at your own risk.
13) Please place your WISH LIST in the wish list section so we don't Spam up the other boards.
14) You can place your TRADES here so we don't Spam up the other boards. Please note: anyone that places a trade up that I myself and the other Adm. of this board are not responsible for these trades and their outcome. Anyone that deliberately scams someone out of an agreed trade can be banned. (This is saying you agreed to trade something of yours to someone else and you take their item but do not give them the item you agreed to give)
Any trade is done at your own risk.
15) Friday Frenzy: is like a Black Friday where the real stores are open once a year at a certain time with cheap merchandise, but we changed the name and a few rules.
1) Friday Frenzy is when you hold a cheap Millsberry Yard Sale on a certain day and time.
2)We will hold them once a month on the first Friday.
3)There is a separate board for this.
4)There will be a certain time for these sales to happen.
5)We will go Private so that they will only be viewed by the Millsberry Citizens Club Members.
6)Once the Friday Frenzy has opened you may post your sale at any time during the Friday Frenzy in the Friday Frenzy Board. (any where else it will be deleted)
7)The purpose of this Friday Frenzy is to have CHEAP YARDSALES.
8)The times will be as follows...........
Eastern 6 AM to 12 Midnight
Central 5 AM to 11 PM
Mountain 4 AM to 10 PM
Pacific 3 AM to 9 PM
The Board will go back to public at 12 Midnight Eastern time.
16) ART GALLERY!! Using your creative idea's, you can draw or make something (like out of clay or what ever you have) if it has to do with Millsberry. Then take a photo of it and upload it into the art album on our Millsberry Citizens group. It will then be transferred over to our Millsberry Citizens Club web page and put it into the art gallery.
You don't have to be artistic to do this. Just have fun with it.
If you do post a picture please take a picture of only the art work. Anything else in the picture could be deleted. We don't want anything personal, especially pictures of people, uploaded on Millsberry Citizens Club.
You may use a signature but please do not sign your real name. The signature must be signed with your Millsberry username and/or your MSN name.
*Remember they will be transferred over to the Millsberry Citizens Club web site into an art gallery. Your Millsberry username is as important as your creation.
17) If you have a problem with a fellow member or see inappropriate behavior, please contact administration and let them know what has happened. Please copy and paste the conversation to an administrator so the situation may be handled properly.
18) The Adm. should be contacted if you encounter a problem.
