Ok, I got it

I'm a big fan of macro (close-up) photography, and there are many spots on and around campus that make for some great detail shots. These are just some of the many pictures I have taken over the last few months.
The floor of our residence's private gym. I've been around hardwood flooring all my life, and I've grown to appreciate it a great deal. Any house without a wood floor is without soul.
An antique window latch in the main lounge.
Why don't they make doorknobs like this anymore?
The oak tree in our courtyard.
Some of the flowers in our courtyard.
The door pull of St Ninian's Cathedral.
My treasured bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label. This blend is so rare that each bottle is assigned a serial number. This is the nectar of the (drunken) Gods.
These are the Christmas lights I put up in my room around my window. I've decided to leave them up year-round, they give the room a nice atmosphere.
My other drink of choice, Remy Martin VSOP Cognac. It seems like I'm one of the only people in my residence that can stomach cognac... Then again, I'm one of the only French people in my residence. You Anglophones don't know what you are missing!
This is a shot from my buddy Nick's room. I loved the play of light on the bulletin board from the venetian blinds, very filme-noir like. Plus the colour from the evening sun was really interesting.
These were Nick's Christmas lights before he put them up. They have nice colours and light play in a darkened room
