Welcome to RoLiCrafts
Hard at it!!!
Rolicrafts is basically one man with a lathe, a passion for wood, the possibilities of form and texture, and the pleasure of having something new to learn each time another wooden blank is put on the chuck.

I am a self-taught woodturner living and working in Essex who has accepted some very welcome advice from friends and professionals along the way. I have attended Sunday morning get togethers at "Australian Outback Imports" who were based at Ardleigh, Colchester and made some very good friends (unfortunately this outlet has now closed down). I am also proud to say that I have been accepted into the folds of "The Guild of Essex Craftsmen" and am now a member of the AWGB, (Association of Woodturners of Great Britain).

At the moment I am only a week-end woodturner as I have a day-time job to contend with as well. The vast majority of woods I use are bought from reputable dealers such as Oz outback Imports, Stiles & Bates, and many other sellers on ebay (from whom I have NEVER had any problems with the item I have purchased.

All my finished products are one-off pieces. If the item in the gallery you like is already sold I can turn a very similar item for you, but you would need to be aware that because no two pieces of wood are identical in grain or colour this almost guarantees differences.

Any questions regarding my work should be addressed via email or directly by telephone (please see the contact page). If you would like to see more of my work you are welcome to come and see it at one of the many craft fairs that are planned for this year, details of these events can be found on the Craft Fairs page.

A selection of my work can be viewed here on the individual gallery pages. I hope you enjoy looking at the pieces and call back regularly to view  the newest available pieces.
Enjoy your stay and please email me at
or if you have any comments or questions (nothing rude please).

Thanks for visiting.
