| January 4th 2007 | Ah, the glorious idea of staying up until one in the morning and waking up at eleven the next day. why? well, my sister's friend stayed over last night, and we watched Catch Me If You Can (Leonardo DiCaprio). Of course we didn't start it until close to eleven, and then about half an hour into the movie, we paused it to tell stories about school, and we were cracking up, which lasted about half an hour. and then for some reason staci (sister's friend) and i decided it would be fun to light a candle and put it out with our fingers. wow. i just read that, and realized how wacked that sounds...huh. weird. anyways, because of that little distraction, we didn't go to bed until about one in the morning. and didn't wake up until eleven. at least i didn't. courtney woke up at like 12 and staci's still asleep (it's 12:13).
Now, on numb cheeks...huh. on numb cheeks. what the hell does that mean? it means i had a dentists appointment yesterday to get a filling. do you know how massively hard it is to drink when one side of your mouth is completely numb? during supper, i dribbled milk all down my shirt. until...i figured out to keep my mouth over the glass until i had swallowed. brilliant idea, don't you think? Haha. do you know what else? does your mom every try to "perfect" you when it comes to saying, "Someone and I?" Have you ever said "Me and someone" or "someone and me" and your mom's all like, "NO,no. no, it's someone and i, not someone and me. do you think they have a club or something. i mean, it seem like almost every mom does that. it's kinda creepy. well, anyways. on everything else. guess what i'm watching!? Moulin ROuge! on the computer! i'm so proud of myself! Anywho, mom needs on the computer to print of some stuff, so i might as well head off now...note to self: never say that again. See ya! okay, and i just have to say, the guy i it is soo cute! like not in the hot way, but in like...contemplate for adoption cute. he's almost constantly smiling and it makes his face just like, light up, and he looks like a little boy. it's absolutely adorable!! if you haven't seen this movie, you just HAVE to watch it!| ON Affiliates and Updates |
| January 3rd 2007 | Well it's been another night of sleeping on the couch and staying up late watching movies until at least twelve o'clock (or, in last night's case, two in the morning), and another morning of being woken up earlier than a child should be made to on Christmas Break because Mom has people coming with a dog (she's a dog groomer), and we (my sister and i) couldn't be sleeping on the couch when they got here.
God, I love this place. Sorry, sarcasm, haha. SO here i am, 9:12 in the morning, working on my site, just because i have nothing else to do, since, originally, i was planning to be sleeping right about now. Well, my blog is called 'On Affiliates and Updates,' so i might as well talk about Affiliates and Updates. I am currently accepting affiliates! Okay, so the updates...I've completely changed around the Content page, so it's easier to read in the iframe, and you don't have to scroll as much. | Happy New Year everybody! Hope you had a great one. My friends and I had a little party, which was great. There were appetizers and pop and the such, and we watched movies until almost five in the morning. Surprisingly, we woke up at 10:30 the next morning, which is kinda insane considering how late it was, or should i say how early, before we went to bed! It was great though, so whatever.
So you're probably wondering why this post is called, "On The New Year and Moulin Rouge, right? Well, one of the movies we watched was Moulin Rouge, which I've seen parts of while my sister and her friends were watchign it, but never the entire thing. Well, SUnday night, I saw the entire thing, and, gosh, is that movie GOOD! It's just soo cute! For those of you who haven't seen it, I suggest you should. It's a musical starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McSomeone...i can't remember his last name. Here's a little information on it: Christian [Ewan McGregor], a young writer with a magical gift for poetry, defies his bourgeois father by moving to the bohemian underworld of Montmartre, Paris. He is taken in by the absinthe- soaked artist Toulouse- Lautrec, whose party- hard life centres around the Moulin Rouge, a world of sex, drugs, electricity & the shocking Can-Can. Christian falls into a passionate but ultimately doomed love affair with Satine, the Sparkling Diamond [Nicole Kidman], the most beautiful courtesan in Paris & star of the Moulin Rouge. It's beautiful written, and Nicole and Ewan play the parts beautifully! It's just such a cute movie, and soo sad, but happy at many parts too, I just love it so much. I previously made a site layout for Moulin Rouge, but, even though i loved it just because i loved the movie so much, it was definetly not one of my best, so i made one with just nicole kidman, which is the one i have up now. the words on it are actually from a song in moulin rouge, the elephant love melody, which is my favourite song in the movie. i'm thinking of maybe putting it on the homepage...hmmm. i probably will. it's an adorable song. anyways, i hope you like the layout! have a great day! ¢¾Rochelle -showchick- |
